Aglaia Ruffino Jalles

MA1, Educational Psychology (Human Development concentration)

Research Interests: Mindfulness and wellbeing; Interpersonal Mindfulness; Self-Compassion and Compassion for Others; Mental Health Interventions

Biography: Aglaia Ruffino Jalles began her research career in the field of Philosophy of Education, examining argumentation and rhetoric in Saint Augustine’s writings. Soon after, she worked as a research assistant at the DIALOG Lab at the University of São Paulo, where she supported adolescents struggling with depression and self-harm through Collective Narrative Practices sessions. This experience deepened her interest in evidence-based interventions that foster well-being, leading her to study mindfulness and compassion as mechanisms for psychological health. Currently, her MA research focuses on validating the French version of the Interpersonal Mindfulness Scale within the Embodied and Embedded Mindfulness and Compassion Framework (EEMCF), aiming to provide a reliable tool for future studies that broaden and deepen the understanding of mindfulness in interpersonal contexts.
