Biography: Melanie’s research program focuses on mindfulness and self-compassion as protective factors for undergraduate students using addictive behaviours in attempt to cope with psychological distress. She completed her Pre-Doctoral Internship at the Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Previously, she completed two external practicums in the McGill University Health Centre’s Addictions Unit. She has also been involved in multiple mental health initiatives on campus aimed at improving student mental health.
