Joelle Moses (she/her)

Research Interests: Mindfulness and compassion-based interventions; Knowledge mobilization

Biography: Joelle has been working at the MMRL since 2024. Her research focuses on examining the clinical applications of the Embodied and Embedded Mindfulness and Compassion Framework (EEMCF). Additionally, Joelle supports Dr. Bassam Khoury and other lab members on a range of projects, including psychometric scale development, systematic reviews, qualitative research, and manuscript preparation. Joelle also designed the new MMRL website in 2025 and continues to manage the lab website and newsletter, in an effort to mobilize the knowledge produced at the lab.

Joelle values clinically-oriented, participant-facing research, which aligns with her goal of becoming a clinical counsellor. Outside of the MMRL, she volunteers as a mental health support group facilitator at AMI Quebec, where she facilitates the Queer mental health support group, and the Young Adults mental health support group.
